These are some ATCS I have been working on to trade in a group I belong to they are 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. A few years ago we were driving home late one night when the full moon was rising on Currituck Bay... the trees in front looked like black lace in front of the moon which was as big as a mountain that night. So truly inspiring. these are some trees I painted using a technique I think I developed which for now will call PAS....it is organza stitched over raw edge applique pieces. These were all done by sewing machine. with a black cardstock backing. This is 6 of 8 in the series. I really like the look and it lets me use all the wonderful little fabrics I have been collecting in my stash for years.
I ususally handsew my atcs..its very relaxing. and saves my sanity.
I Love being Creative and making Art, and selling it is my way to earn a living. All of my life has been surrounded by Art, from the field trips to the Smithsonians to see ancient art, the galleries to see paintings by Van Gogh, Raphael, Da Vinci and study the techniques, taking art classes from masters, creating my own art processes. My sewing machine "Stitches" is my partner in creating my fabric paintings one piece of fabric at a time

Why I create (my new name Lorri Lee Glennon)
- Lorri Lee Chambers
- Hobbsville, North Carolina, United States
- Having been a artist literally all my life, I love color and dimension.I learned to sew at age 10 , by age 13 started a stuffed animal business, which grew into a collectable Teddy Bear Business for 15 + years. I opened my own bead store specializing in Spontaneous Creation classes and love to teach everyone they could be creative and open the door to their imagination.I recently returned to one of my favorite art forms taking photographs my father gave me my first camera when I was a child and I have loved photography ever since. I took professional family portraits and weddings for the first 5 years living in the Outer Banks, I am now shooting Family portraits again and sharing my love of the Outer Banks through my blogs. Be creative, walk in faith and never give up....It all happens in God's time

These are stunning little works of art. Currituck Bay - brings back memories of autumn at the beach with friends, one of whom died this past July. But he did get one last look at the bay...
